Biography

It was during Dr. Karides' residency that he decided to specialize in oncology because he recognized the ease in which he was able to interact with cancer patients. Not only does Dr. Karides meet with patients on a daily basis, he also reaches out to organizations such as the American Cancer Society with the intention of improving the cancer system throughout the Chicagoland area. 

Even with this busy schedule, Dr. Karides has stressed the importance of continuing his medical education. He frequently reads medical journals, attends medical conferences and seminars, and performs clinical research all in order to understand the emerging advances in cancer treatment.
