Biography

Dr. Wendell is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and American Medical Women’s Association. She is the recipient of the James R. and Helen D. Russell Research Grant and has presented her research in breast cancer and survivorship at several national conferences. She has a personal interest in breast cancer, colorectal cancer, benign hematologic conditions, survivorship, and women’s health. 

Dr. Wendell feels privileged to take the lead for her patients and their loved ones during their treatment. 

She enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Her personal interests include running, traveling, and mentoring students interested in pursuing medical careers.
