Biography

Dr. Ciobanu achieved her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Timisoara in Romania where she also completed a 5-year Internal Medicine/Hematology fellowship in 2002. Throughout the years, she has been involved in academic teaching, basic science and clinical studies as well as quality improvement and patient safety projects. She contributed to organizing several cancer awareness and patient survivorship programs. Outside of medicine, she enjoys spending time with family, gardening, biking and skiing.

Philosophy of Care:

As a physician, I like to get to know the patient, to understand their goals and concerns so as to provide them not only with the best treatment available but also the most appropriate with respect to their values and individual circumstances. I believe communication is key in helping patients along this path and the base of a strong and reliable relationship with them.
