Biography

Katrina graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in the Philippines in 2006 and moved to the United States that same year. She spent ten years as a bedside nurse in medical–surgical–oncology, beginning at Norwegian American Hospital and later at Endeavor Health. She pursued her graduate studies at North Park University, earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree with Distinction, and was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She has also been an active member of the Oncology Nursing Society since the start of her career. Katrina practiced as a nurse practitioner at Northwest Oncology & Hematology for two years before joining Kellogg at Endeavor Health, where she spearheaded the Immediate Care Center for cancer patients. After five years, she briefly served in the hepato-pancreato-biliary surgical outpatient department at Advocate Aurora Health before joining Illinois Cancer Specialists.

Throughout her career, she has received several leadership and patient care awards. Outside of work, Katrina is happily married and adores her dog. She enjoys traveling, baking, rescuing struggling plants, and has completed two Chicago Marathons.
